Insights Publisher has authorized the Insights Publisher Ethics Review Committee (IPERC) to administer and enforce the requirements of the publisher's code of ethics. The code of ethics was established to ensure that all studies involving human subjects were conducted in accordance with high ethical standards.
IPERC evaluates a variety of types of scientific studies, including but not limited to the following:
• Clinical trials
• Epidemiological research
• Social science research
• Education research
• Research on medical records or other personal information
• Research on stored samples
• Health systems research
• Implementation research
For studies mentioned above, components will be evaluated by IPERC, including those listed below:
• Scientific design and conduct of the study
• Risks and potential benefits
• Selection of study population and recruitment of research participants
• Inducements, financial benefits, and financial costs
• Protection of research participants’ privacy and confidentiality
• Informed consent
• Community considerations
• Investigation of the post-publication ethical concerns
